Sarah McGinty – CBT Therapist

I graduated from Kings College Medical School, London in 1999 and completed my training in General Practice in 2004. I have studied at Post Graduate level at the University of Hertfordshire where I was awarded the Diploma in CBT with Merit.

I am a fully accredited member of the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I am married and have 3 children. As a former GP with over 12 years of medical experience I have always been interested in the psychological aspects of care.

I have worked with all ages in both adult and child NHS community mental health services (CMHT and CAMHS) as well as in an inpatient adult mental health team.

I have extensive experience working with young people having worked as a therapist in several Middle/ Secondary schools, as well providing private therapy.

I am a visiting lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire.
